SO DOMINANT WAS Steph Curry last night that he was able to able to sit out the entire fourth quarter and the Golden State Warriors still won by 30 points.

And it’s not like the Warriors were matched up against a shower of bums.

This was the San Antonio Spurs that Curry was almost single-handedly destroying in a 120-90 win. The Spurs, ranked second in the NBA’s Western Conference, had beaten the Warriors in 13 of their previous 16 encounters.

However, last night they’d no answer for the man who is almost certain to be named this season’s MVP as Curry shot 37 points in just 28 minutes of playing time despite everything the Spurs threw at him.

First they had Tony Parker try to stop him but, when that didn’t work, they turned to Patty Mills and then Jonathan Simmons. Fail. Try again. Fail harder.

There was nothing else for it, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich had no choice but to give reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard a go.
